Hikvision DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WE Wireless Curtain Motion Detector

This Hikvision wireless PIR curtain detector can be mounted on the inside or outside of the house. Thereby, it can be mounted on a wall vertically, but it can also be made horizontally on the ceiling.

Mounted on a wall, the Hikvision PIR curtain detector can monitor an area of 10 meters from the sensor for motion at an angle of 5 degrees. This detector is therefore ideal for securing specific areas, such as along windows or doors. When mounted on the ceiling, this detector can look 5 meters in all directions, also at a 5-degree angle.

The sensitivity is adjustable via the Hik-Connect application on your smartphone. There are a total of 2 modes, automatic and animal friendly. The latter should be chosen if cats or dogs are present in the area to be secured, or if the detector is mounted outside in an area where cats also roam regularly.

Mounting height

The ideal height for mounting the PIR curtain detector is between 2 meters and 3.50 meters high. If you mount the PIR curtain detector lower than the recommended height, it will react earlier to pets and the detection distance will decrease. Of course, all installation supplies are included.

Logging in and installation

All Hikvision products are easy to connect. Registration is done with a QR code on each device. Do you have multiple detectors you want to log in at the same time? Then use the convenient "enroll" feature so you don't have to scan a single QR code. Activate "Enroll," turn on the detector, and the pairing is a reality.

Mount the detector to a wall or ceiling and make sure there are no vases, cabinets or glass objects blocking the angle of view.

Battery operated

The detector, like all Hikvision AX Pro alarm system products, operates on CR123A type batteries and is therefore completely wireless. They can therefore easily be placed anywhere without having to lay cables. The life of the batteries supplied as standard is 5 years under normal use. After this time they can easily be replaced for new ones for a few euros.

The PIR curtain detector operates in temperatures between -10 and +55 degrees Celsius. Outside these values, the detection quality may decrease. The dimensions are 29.2mm x 134.4mm x 39.5mm and the weight is 118.5 grams.
